We are all touched when we learn about the plight of those around the world less fortunate than us. Currently, 2.5 billion people do not have access to basic sanitation and 900 million people lack safe water. As a result, 2.2 million children under 5 die from diarrhoeal diseases every year. In addition, water and sanitation are at the very centre of development. They are integral to health, nutrition, education, livelihoods, the role of women and the environment. In order to help vulnerable communities, the provision of water and sanitation are usually the first stepping stones to change.
Flood Risk Consulting Limited has therefore teamed up with Tearfund to help make a difference.
Tearfund has the mission goal to respond to disasters when they occur and to work in the places of greatest poverty. If you appoint us for your project, we guarantee to give at least 20% of our fee to Tearfund’s Water and Sanitation Fund. We can provide you with a receipt of the donation and the money will be used by Tearfund to help the poorest, most vulnerable and most marginalised to gain access to safe water and basic sanitation.
